Rigby is the coolest
Louis Wain is a late 19th century artist whom is best remembered for his delightful paintings of doe eyed kitties and anthropomorphic cats.
H.G. Wells once said of him “He has made the cat his own. He invented a cat style, a cat society, a whole cat world. English cats that do not look and live like Louis Wain cats are ashamed of themselves.”
In later life Wain developed Schizophrenia and his drawings became increasingly erratic and psychedelic; this sample of his work, from left to right, gives a small insight into his spiralling madness.
